Can you film OnlyFans content in an Airbnb?

What Airbnb's policy says

Airbnb's Help Center says guests should not do commercial film or photography when the listing's house rules prohibit it, and that guests need the host's documented permission. Content made to sell on a subscription platform is commercial content, so this policy is the place to start. Read the current text before you book, because policies change.

What has happened before

NBC4 Los Angeles reported in 2016 that adult productions were using rental houses booked on Airbnb, and that Airbnb banned guests after a porn shoot and described a "zero tolerance" approach. For more on the creator side, see the Village Voice piece on the same question.

If you ask a host anyway

• Tell the host exactly what the shoot is. Vague descriptions like "a photo shoot" do not give you real permission.
• Get the permission in writing, through the platform, before you book.
• Confirm the number of people, the rooms you will use and the hours.
• Keep your own paperwork in order: performer age records under 18 U.S.C. 2257 and any film permit. FilmLA calls it a myth that no permit is needed on private property.

The simpler alternative

Adult Content Locations lists private Los Angeles homes whose owners have agreed to professional adult production and approve each booking. You tell us what the shoot is up front, the house rules and terms are in writing, and nothing is booked until we confirm it. Bookings run from one day up to 28 days.

Browse locations, read where to film OnlyFans content in LA, or compare what each rental platform allows.

General information, not legal advice. Adult Content Locations provides locations only and does not hire, manage or keep records for performers.
